The approach chosen focuses on results and policy orientations which are published and hence in the public domain. The publication is divided into eight chapters, devised as a structure to reflect well the different areas of educational work and to bring out policy conclusions and messages: early childhood, schooling, transitions beyond initial, higher education, lifelong learning, outcomes and benefits, equity and equality of opportunity, and innovation and knowledge. 	<description><![CDATA[<p>Eurydice Network (2009). <em>Les &eacute;valuations standardis&eacute;es des &eacute;l&egrave;ves en Europe: objectifs, organisation et utilisation des r&eacute;sultats.</em> Brussels: European Comission, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).</p><p>Ce rapport Eurydice examine le contexte et l&rsquo;organisation des &eacute;valuations standardis&eacute;es des &eacute;l&egrave;ves dans 30 pays europ&eacute;ens ainsi que l&rsquo;utilisation de leurs r&eacute;sultats pour les &eacute;l&egrave;ves &agrave; titre individuel, au niveau des &eacute;tablissements scolaires et au niveau national. Il pr&eacute;sente les diff&eacute;rents choix faits par les pays europ&eacute;ens quant aux objectifs, &agrave; la fr&eacute;quence et au contenu des tests nationaux et attire l&rsquo;attention sur des aspects importants qui caract&eacute;risent ces derniers, &agrave; partir desquels les pays pourraient s&rsquo;inspirer de leurs exp&eacute;riences mutuelles. 	<description><![CDATA[<p>Eurydice Network (2009). <em>Theoretical and real effects of standardised assessment.</em> Brussels: European Comission, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).</p><p>This report aims to highlight the effects of standardised assessment. The first section of the report will consider the theoretical impacts of standardised assessment both as a monitoring tool in education systems and as a teaching tool used to improve individual pupils' performance. The second part of the report will provide an empirical analysis of the real impact of standardised assessment in terms of effectiveness, educational equality and efficiency. The third part of the report describe the mechanisms associated with the introduction of testing and the responses of various groups: teachers, both individually and as a body, the education system managers (head teachers, local and regional education officers), parents and the pupils themselves. The report examines how these groups react to the introduction of standardised assessment and whether their responses vary according to the nature of the reforms undertaken.</p>]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[<p>Funadaci&oacute;n Infancia y Aprendizaje (2005). Gu&iacute;a de escritura para las revistas de la FIA.</p><p>Es una gu&iacute;a abreviada de consejos pr&aacute;cticos para elaborar y revisar los manuscritos que los autores escriben para cualquiera de las revistas de la Fundaci&oacute;n Infancia y Aprendizaje. Se presentan casos &ldquo;t&iacute;picos&rdquo; de aquellas dudas que asaltan al escritor novel &ndash;o no tan novel&ndash; cuando se enfrenta al &ldquo;formateado&rdquo; definitivo de su texto antes de enviarlo. Para ello se han tenido en cuenta, por ejemplo, los errores u omisiones m&aacute;s comunes detectados en los manuscritos que se reciben en las redacciones. Remitiremos en cada apartado a otros documentos de car&aacute;cter m&aacute;s exhaustivo para la resoluci&oacute;n de cuantas dudas espec&iacute;ficas se le planteen al autor.</p>]]></description>

<p><b>Introducción</b><br />Con este artículo se pretende reflexionar sobre la posibilidad de disponer de servicios de atención a la pequeña infancia que complementen a las escuelas infantiles, sobre todo en el primer ciclo de la etapa educativa (de 0 a 3 años), dado que el segundo ciclo tiene un lugar reservado en los centros de educación primaria, y los 3 años son el inicio real de la escolarización en diversos contextos, concretamente el catalán y español. También se pretende ayudar a analizar la necesidad de garantizar la calidad requerida para atender a la infancia en todo su proceso de desarrollo y educación; así como el ajuste necesario a cada realidad territorial, apuntando brevemente experiencias concretas de algunos países conscientes de los beneficios que tiene, a nivel social, atender bien a las criaturas y a sus familias. Algunos de los modelos que se ofrecen como ejemplos para ilustrar el texto son catalanes, dado que son los que mejor conocemos, pero nuestro ánimo es que sirvan para el nacimiento de propuestas semejantes en distintas realidades geográficas y sociales.</p>

	<description><![CDATA[<p>Discurs de recepci&oacute; que el Dr. Carles-Enric Riba&nbsp;va pronunciar com a membre de la Secci&oacute; de Filosofia i Ci&egrave;ncies Socials de l&rsquo;Institut d'Estudis Catalans el 15 de desembre de 2015.</p><p>En el seu discurs, Riba va defensar una aproximaci&oacute;, la de les ci&egrave;ncies socials, que busquen l&rsquo;objectivitat i la veritat a partir de l&rsquo;an&agrave;lisi d&rsquo;una realitat multiforme que implica diverses interpretacions.
