<p>Short abstract of the different sessions</p>

<p>Maud Pols – Project Leader Educational Innovation - University of Amsterdam<br />During the seminar we will dive into a concrete best practice of the University of Amsterdam: the Hybrid Learning Theatre. This 10x10m2 hybrid learning space allows 13 on-site students, 1500+ students online and includes a 4.5x2.5 ‘Zoom Wall’ for real-time interaction. This set-up enables active participation, in-class discussions and gives students the opportunity to benefit from an engaging learning experience, even from home.</p>

<p>Mabelle Hernandez – Programme manager Educate-IT, University of Utrecht<br />Utrecht University has recently worked on a central definition of hybrid teaching/learning and also eight didactic scenarios of hybrid teaching/learning. Subsequently in an integral and interdisciplinary UU broad collaboration, a technical design was made for the layout of the hybrid classroom that supports the definition as well as the didactic scenarios of hybrid teaching/learning.<br />Julia Dawitz – Lecturer Biopsychology - University of Amsterdam<br />I will talk about the use of meeting-owls in hybrid education. Based on examples from our faculty I will answer the questions: What are meeting owls and how do they work? In which situations do they add something to teaching? And when should we avoid using them?</p>

<p>Helle Mathiasen – professor of education science and Henrik Bregnhøj – consultant online and blended learning – both University of Copenhagen<br />On basis a quantitative and a qualitative research design we present findings concerning the challenged conditions of communication, focusing on students and e-moderators at UCPH experiences after 3½ months with HyFlex lectures, before total shot down, December 2020. We present findings concerning the challenged conditions of communication.</p>
