From this view, the sustainability crisis challenges our human ability to make sense of the world through the narratives and visions that we create for and about ourselves, guiding our interaction in sociomaterial, cultural contexts as we integrate action with motives and a fundamental sense of who we are at the personal and the societal levels. In this complex landscape, the capacity to question prevailing narratives and shape new ones as we navigate and envision viable and alternative futures becomes crucial. This seminar will explore narratives of change as a concept and methodological approach in open schooling collaboration projects&mdash;projects in which schools collaborate with out-of-school actors seeking well-being aims in their local communities&mdash;in sustainability education.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Erik Knain is a full professor at the Department of Teacher Education and School Research at the University of Oslo, Norway. His research areas include science education, scientific literacy, multimodality, and education for sustainable development.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Professor Knain has led projects like &quot;Science Education for Action and Engagement towards Sustainability&quot; (SEAS), funded by the EU Horizon 2020 program, which focuses on promoting science education for sustainability.</div><div>He has also published numerous research papers on inquiry-based teaching methods, the relationship between science education and sustainability, and the use of multimodal representations in science learning.</div><div>Recently, he participated in the ODS Conference in Bergen 2024, discussing the role of universities in transformation processes toward sustainability</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Alfredo Jornet, Ramon y Cajal researcher at the Faculty of Education and Psychology, will complement the presentation with additional research carried in collaboration with professor Knain.</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Estimada comunidad, les invitamos a participar en el seminario titulado <strong>&ldquo;Narratives of change as an approach to sustainability education in real-life sustainability education&rdquo;</strong>, con la presentaci&oacute;n de <strong>Erik Knain, profesor de la Facultad de Formaci&oacute;n del Profesorado e Investigaci&oacute;n Escolar de la Universidad de Oslo.</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Fecha: 2 de abril</div><div>Hora: 10:00-12:00</div><div>Lugar: Aula 170, Facultad de Psicolog&iacute;a y Educaci&oacute;n, Universitat de Girona</div><div>Inscripci&oacute;n: no es necesaria, se acreditar&aacute; la asistencia a los intersados</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Algunos acad&eacute;micos definen la crisis de la sostenibilidad como una crisis de la imaginaci&oacute;n. Desde esta perspectiva, esta crisis desaf&iacute;a nuestra capacidad humana para comprender el mundo a trav&eacute;s de las narrativas y visiones que creamos para nosotros mismos y sobre nosotros mismos, guiando nuestra interacci&oacute;n en contextos sociomateriales y culturales a medida que integramos la acci&oacute;n con las motivaciones y un sentido fundamental de qui&eacute;nes somos a nivel personal y social. En este complejo panorama, la capacidad de cuestionar las narrativas predominantes y dar forma a otras nuevas mientras navegamos y visualizamos futuros viables y alternativos se vuelve crucial. Este seminario explorar&aacute; las narrativas de cambio como concepto y enfoque metodol&oacute;gico en proyectos de colaboraci&oacute;n en la educaci&oacute;n abierta (proyectos en los que las escuelas colaboran con actores extraescolares que buscan objetivos de bienestar en sus comunidades locales) en el &aacute;mbito de la educaci&oacute;n para la sostenibilidad.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Erik Knain es profesor titular del Departamento de Formaci&oacute;n del Profesorado e Investigaci&oacute;n Escolar de la Universidad de Oslo (Noruega). Sus &aacute;reas de investigaci&oacute;n incluyen la educaci&oacute;n cient&iacute;fica, la alfabetizaci&oacute;n cient&iacute;fica, la multimodalidad y la educaci&oacute;n para el desarrollo sostenible.</div><div>El profesor Knain ha liderado proyectos como &quot;Educaci&oacute;n Cient&iacute;fica para la Acci&oacute;n y el Compromiso con la Sostenibilidad&quot; (SEAS), financiado por el programa Horizonte 2020 de la UE, que se centra en promover la educaci&oacute;n cient&iacute;fica para la sostenibilidad.</div><div>Tambi&eacute;n ha publicado numerosos art&iacute;culos de investigaci&oacute;n sobre m&eacute;todos de ense&ntilde;anza basados ​​en la indagaci&oacute;n, la relaci&oacute;n entre la educaci&oacute;n cient&iacute;fica y la sostenibilidad, y el uso de representaciones multimodales en el aprendizaje de las ciencias. Recientemente, particip&oacute; en la Conferencia ODS en Bergen 2024, donde debati&oacute; el papel de las universidades en los procesos de transformaci&oacute;n hacia la sostenibilidad.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Alfredo Jornet, investigador Ram&oacute;n y Cajal de la Facultad de Educaci&oacute;n y Psicolog&iacute;a, complementar&aacute; la presentaci&oacute;n con una investigaci&oacute;n adicional realizada en colaboraci&oacute;n con el profesor Knain.</strong></div></div></div></div></div></div>]]></description>
